Quadrums
Finding comfort and connection in randomness.
Quadrums are an expression of finding comfort and familiarity within a random and chaotic world. Each arrangement gives you a chance to deeply connect with the shapes that are presented to you. The algorithm was designed to give the outer edges a unique profile that can play with your mind’s sense of pattern recognition. Your imagination takes over and begins to form recognizable shapes, objects, faces, animals, and even memories. It can be a reflection of yourself when you look at the right Quadrum. All color palettes were hand-picked. Pick the one that not only speaks to you but chooses you.
The 5x5 matrix was chosen to give enough variety but also give a sense of cohesion. Any more or fewer shapes causes you not to get quite the same feeling. There are 19 color palettes and 12 shape types. Some Quadrums are blessed with an animated block from the third dimension. The animated block is an expression of breaking out of the plane or conformity. The rarity planned for this “excited” block was 3% but the algorithm had other plans. It ended up being around 1.8% of all Quadrums. Some shapes are rarer than others but that doesn’t make your Quadrum any less rare since it shares a connection with you.
